COOPERATIVE TESTING: SELECTION OF STUDENT COMMENTS
"Being able to discuss information and questioning the material before making a final answer was very helpful. Actually taking the test was a far less stressful event than if I had taken it by myself."
"Was a very good experience. We discussed the questions and both came up with reasons to support the answer. I had less anxiety going into the testing room."
"It was very helpful and it allowed me to express my thoughts before deciding."
"Having not taken an exam in years, I was nervous about taking one again. Being with a partner significantly reduced my anxiety."
"Really enjoyed the experience! Great learning experience-please consider final in this format."
"I don't know why I would take a test any other way, unless there was a significant time constraint where talking about questions becomes problematic."
"It was helpful to discuss answers with my partner and debate through the answer."
"I thought it worked well for me b/c during the test it allowed for a viewpoint that I may not have considered and was actually helpful in obtaining the right answer."
"Thanks."
"I'm not certain that many students took well to being required to take a multiple choice test at the graduate level. Perhaps a written assignment might have been more effective."
"The background noise was a little bit of a problem.."
